I read Rose Daughter earlier this spring and have been thinking about it again ever since the roses at Grandma's house have come out so beautifully. This book is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and the language is absolutely beautiful. The ending gets a little strange, but I was still sad to put it down. A quick read that keeps your attention the whole time. Another great retelling of Beauty and the Beast is East by Edith Pattou.
